Did you know: On 29 October 2022:, the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) the world’s longest passenger train (1,906 m) set off from the Albula Tunnel in Preda on the UNESCO World Heritage route to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the “longest narrow gauge passenger train”.

The Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina landscapes,is a single trans alpine line bringing together two historic railway lines that cross the Swiss Alps.
Opened in 1904, the Albula line features an impressive set of structures including 42 tunnels and covered galleries and 144 viaducts and bridges, while the Bernina pass line features 13 tunnels and galleries and 52 viaducts and bridges. Travelling on the train is an exceptional experience as you will pass through some of the highest railway tracks in Europe, while admiring the technical, architectural and environmental ensemble that dates back to over a century ago from the first decade of the 20th century.
